Despite what many think, this recording was not done in the ‘90s. These are truly “found” tapes issued for the first time by Shangri-la Projects in 1996. Sanders had a wild, almost 50-year career as a bluesmen in the Binghampton Blues Boys (“Crosscut Saw”) as well as 40 years as a singer, guitar player, and all around entertainer with Memphis’ tuffest blues band the Fieldstone. Highly entertaining and educational story of one of the last of a lost art. Mr. Will Roy Sanders passed away in January, 2010.
